Barcode scanning gun is the third generation of key computer input equipment after the computer keyboard and computer mouse. It is a high-tech product closely integrated with optical, electronic, mechanical, software application and other technologies. Since the scanner gun came out in the 1980s, it has developed rapidly and has been widely used in various places, including the most direct photos, pictures, films, and various drawings and manuscripts. Use a barcode scanner to input the image information into the computer, and then realize the processing, use, storage, management and output of these image information.

The components of the more common flat-bed barcode scanners are usually light sources, optical lenses, scanning modules, analog-to-digital conversion circuits, and the outermost plastic shell. The working principle of the barcode scanning gun: the barcode scanning gun converts the detected optical signal into an electrical signal by using photoelectric components, and then uses an analog-to-digital converter to convert the electrical signal into a digital signal and transmit it to the computer for processing.

When the barcode scanning gun wants to scan the image, the light source shines on the image and the reflected light passes through the optical lens and gathers on the scanning module. The scanning module converts the optical signal into an analog digital signal (that is, voltage, which is related to the received light related to the intensity of the image), and at the same time indicate the degree of dimness of that pixel. At this time, the analog-to-digital conversion circuit converts the analog voltage into a digital signal, and then sends it to the computer. The color is quantized with 8, 10, and 12 bits of RGB three colors, that is, the signal is processed into the image output of the above-mentioned bits.
If there is a higher number of quantization bits, the image can have richer levels and depths, but at this time the color range has exceeded the recognition ability of the human eye, and the human eye cannot recognize it, so based on the range that the human eye can distinguish, For us, a barcode scanner with a higher number of digits can scan a smoother color transition and see more picture details.
